November 17, 2008 - Protoboard P100 Product Release

Fort Worth, Texas – November 17, 2008 – Applied Circuits, LLC, a provider of innovative, low-cost instrumentation, announced today the release of the Protoboard P100.

The P100 is a powered protoboard that allows rapid prototyping of electronic circuits. Using solderless technology, the P100 allows the creation of complex circuits at home or in the lab using standard 0.10” through-hole IC’s. Components can be easily placed and removed, allowing endless configurations and variations in designs. The large work area can support several circuits simultaneously.

The Protoboard P100 has three built-in power supplies. It has one fixed 5V power supply, a 0 – 15 V variable power supply, and a -15 – 0V variable power supply. The P100 itself is powered from a standard 110V, 60 Hz AC source.

The P100 is also being offered in a kit with the MiniLab E100. This combination provides even greater opportunities for electronics education and development. There is no faster, less expensive way to complete the entire prototype development cycle.

October 27, 2008 - Applied Circuits and NPI Technologies Partnership

Fort Worth, Texas – October 27, 2008- Applied Circuits, LLC., a provider of innovative, low-cost instrumentation, announced today a partnership with NPI Technologies, Inc., one of the fastest-growing electronics manufacturing businesses in the U.S., to produce the MiniLAB E100.

The MiniLab E100 is a compact, low-cost, multi-function electronic instrument tailored for education, specifically for the burgeoning distance-learning market. The E100 is a single instrument that combines a high-performance oscilloscope, function generator, and digital multimeter. The unit is connected to a PC which displays the measured data using Applied Circuit’s novel eBench software.

Before the introduction of the MiniLab E100, advanced instruction in electronics design had not been possible in a distance learning environment because the tools were too unwieldy and expensive for individual students to own. But the MiniLab E100 solves those problems; it is small and portable, and very affordable.

“Applied Circuits has developed innovative technology for this mostly un-tapped market, and NPI Technologies’ manufacturing expertise will make it possible to deliver the E100 to students in large volumes,” said Tony Thai, CEO of NPI technologies. “We are very pleased to partner with Applied Circuits in this venture.”

With NPI’s dedication to quality and service, and their consistent year-on-year growth, Applied Circuits is positioned to be the provider of choice for the new and exciting electronics distance-learning market.

Full production of the MiniLab E100 is expected in the fourth quarter of 2008. For more information about the features and specifications of the MiniLab E100, as well as availability and pricing, contact Applied Circuits via email at info@appliedcircuits.com

October 9, 2008 - MiniLab E100 Product Release

Fort Worth, Texas – October 9, 2008 - Applied Circuits, LLC., a provider of innovative, low-cost instrumentation, announced today the release of the MiniLab E100.

The MiniLab E100 is a compact, low-cost, multi-function electronic instrument. Designed in consultation with educators, the E100 is tailored for education, especially for the burgeoning distance-learning market. Historically, distance-learning programs in electronics have been almost non-existent because the proper tools were not available. Now, the E100 opens up tremendous opportunities for educating engineers.

The MiniLab E100 combines a 100 MHz, 250 Ms/s oscilloscope, a 5 MHz function generator, and a digital multimeter in a device with a footprint the size of a CD. Cost savings are achieved by linking the MiniLab E100 to a PC via USB and using the PC to display the data via Applied Circuits’ eBench software.

The eBench user interface mimics standard electronics instruments to train students for work in real-world labs. The MiniLab E100 also includes features to facilitate data analysis. Waveforms can be captured and saved, and the data can be exported from the eBench software to spreadsheets, custom software applications, or LabView.

The MiniLab E100 is not just for students, however. The outstanding specifications of the E100 make it a valuable tool for all electronics developers. With a wide bandwidth, the E100 allows analysis of a wide variety of electronics designs. With its small size, the E100 efficiently uses space on typically crowded workbenches. Small, rugged, and easily packed up, the E100 can be taken into the field when projects cannot be brought into the lab. Data can be readily shared and analyzed by team members.

Full production of the MiniLab E100 is expected in the fourth quarter of 2008. For more information about the features and specifications of the MiniLab E100, as well as availability and pricing, contact Applied Circuits via email at info@appliedcircuits.com or visit the website at www.appliedcircuits.com.
